8.00 (good) The storyline is good, but the fillers suck. The series would be much better off without them.

8.00 (good) Very cute anime... LOVE the main character... who knew an anime about a bakery could be so fun!

8.00 (good) Out of the "harem" animes that i've seen i liked the characters from this one the best. They were well drawn and nicely fleshed

8.00 (good) Whoever described this series as "the animated version of The OC" got it dead on!

8.00 (good) Very cute storyline and cute characters... however, a little too "kiddy" at times (ages 3+) This would be a great anime to show my kids someday-- if you want to start a child on anime at an early age, this would be one of the anime to show them. And it always makes me crave waffles. XD

8.00 (good) Overall a good series. Sad ending for the anime, but I prefer the manga ending.

8.00 (good) Slow beginning, but really picked up in the ending half! The ending was better than Mai HiME, although it felt a little rushed.

8.00 (good) This was a surprisingly good series. I didn't think I'd like a series where the main character was a boy and the dolls fought each other. However, I liked the dolls' personalities and character designs. (And Nori was pretty cool too)

8.00 (good) Manga: Good, but a little too explicit with illustrations of pervertedness.
Anime: Same as manga
Jdrama: 10+! My #1 favorite of all time! Every episode made me cry... and the acting (while sometimes over the top) really fit with the feel of the series. I do wish that they'd included Urumi and some of the other characters from the manga, but overall a great adaptation.

8.00 (good) An interesting premise, which turned into a pretty decent little series. I wasn't expecting much considering this series was based on an H-game. Really liked the character designs, but they couldn't think of easier to pronounce names than Eruru and Aruru? Love Benawi, Karla, Touko, and Oboro. The ending of the series felt somewhat rushed.

8.00 (good) Was kinda put off by the title at first, but ignoring that a nice little one season anime. Kinda wish it was longer though.

Paradise Kiss

8.00 (good) Good series as to be expected from Ai Yazawa. I like how this is a "continuation" of Gokinjo Monogatari, of sorts... though some of the fashion stuff went a little over my head. I think that some of the characters would have benefited from some character development-- Isabella for instance.

8.00 (good) I thought this was a really nice series but a little fast paced. There were some things that I wish had been elaborated on. Kind of an existential kind of series... But I love the OST for this series. Some really nice harpsichord and strings pieces that help to enhance scenes in the anime.

Gokinjo Monogatari

8.00 (good) Since it's such an old series, the artwork seems outdated. But it's Ai Yazawa, so the storyline is going to be good. I really enjoyed the series because it wasn't as fashion oriented as Paradise Kiss and I was able to identify with Ayumi's character. I think it's kind of cool that it's the precursor to Paradise Kiss too. ^_^

8.00 (good) Gorgeous men! Love the character designs and felt the series was good up to a point where Yuki transforms. Now it kind of feels like a weird adaptation of Twilight... I would be interested to see how the series will end-- I'm rooting for Zero!

Pandora Hearts

8.00 (good) The series follows the manga pretty closely, but I will probably continue reading vs. watching. Cute guys and interesting storyline. VAs are exactly how I imagined the characters to sound. It's getting very dark now, looking forward to seeing what happens next!

8.00 (good) Well, reading-- but I love this manga because it's not afraid to make public things that most girls do privately. LOL. Can be kind of disgusting at times, but I love how over the top Nika's On/Off modes are. (And I love Arata~~~)

8.00 (good) Seriously, Aoi and Akane are who really keep me reading this one! They are probably the cutest manga kids EVER! (Well, except for Teppei, from Faster Than a Kiss). Looking forward to seeing more romance between Matsunaga and Shiharu.

8.00 (good) Not quite sure if Teacher/Student relationships are so common in Japan, but I really like this story. Teppei is adorable, and I'm interested to see how the relationship between Fumino and Kazuma progresses. ^_^

8.00 (good) Kind of your usual Shonen Jump fair... Even though it has so many characters, they're all really interesting/none of them really annoy me too much. ^_^

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

8.00 (good) So the beginning of the series was pure humor/character development, which almost made me not want to continue reading-- but due to some character designs (being attractive males) I stuck with it and it turned out to be quite good. Nice to see it come full circle at the end.

8.00 (good) Enjoyable slice-of-life series. I found Eru's "I'm curious!" tagline to get old-- and somewhat annoying, but I enjoyed the other 3 characters. I really enjoyed the Cultural Festival Arc, but the ending half of the series left something to be desired.

8.00 (good) Initially I was averse to watching this based on the large number of yaoi doujins I'd seen, but Winter Break boredom set in and I caved. Ended up liking it more than I thought I would have.

Soul Eater

8.00 (good) I was in a restaurant and this show was playing on the television... and thus started my relationship with Soul Eater. I tried watching the anime, but it was moving at too slow a pace for me, so I switched over to the manga. MUCH BETTER PACING, but I do miss the seiyuu. I think that the anime voices are spot on. :)

8.00 (good) Thoroughly enjoyed this series! I don't think there was any character I didn't like, though I felt like the story could have gone into so much more detail. There were a lot of hints at things (ie: Haru's brother) and the ending left something to be desired. Its almost like they didn't know how to end it so it just ended. I would love to see a second season. :)

8.00 (good) Loved the beginning half of this series-- the comedy was hilarious, as well as the sad bits. After they switched, things got weird and very existential FAST, which brought down the rating.

7.75 (good) I watched this anime because I loved the manga. This is a decent adaptation, except that they cut out my favorite character Shuro! Her role in the series is relegated to like a 5 minute chunk towards the end of the series. Granted they had to cut a lot of stuff out in order to fit the anime series into one season, but I feel that in doing so a lot of what made me love the manga was lost.

Last Updated: Apr 07, 2011

7.75 (good) For an intro anime, this one is a gem. The storyline for the series was good, however about half of each episode is taken up by recapping the previous episode. This can get frustrating and I found myself fast forwarding a lot. Love Tasuki and Chichiri the most. Also watched the OVAs, but the storylines for those were much too rushed

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

7.75 (good) Fai and Kurogane make for a welcome addition to this CLAMP cross-over series. I was never a really big fan of Card Captor Sakura, but it's nice to see the two characters in a little more mature style. The series score by Yuki Kajiura never fails to be amazing, and here and there, there were gems of storylines. However, the series itself lost some steam and became somewhat predictable. HOWEVER! The OVAs were AMAZING. Loved Tokyo Revelations, and also ended up reading the conclusion via manga-- really wish they'd stuck with it (but saw how it could have been too dark for television).

7.75 (good) Gintoki is an awesome character, though the plot seems somewhat odd and random. I wonder if there will be an actual plotline at some point? In the meantime, yay for crack anime!

Trinity Blood

7.75 (good) I wish this series had been longer because it really was a good series. It seems the novels yet again give much more information than is presented in the series. In this case, I think the series would have definitely benefited from it. The lack of any kind of ending/wrap-up for the series is what brought my score for the series down.

Samurai 7

7.75 (good) I have not seen the original Kurosawa film that this anime adaptation is based upon, but from what I've read, the writers for the anime tried to keep the characters' personalities similar. I really liked the character designs (Especially Heihachi and Kyuzo), though the seemingly forced romance between Kirara and Kanbei was kinda weird.

7.75 (good) Seems fairly standard-- nothing groundbreaking, but it still entertaining. Was kind of lukewarm about the series up until episode 12. That's where the hook was for me. Really like all of the characters except for Oori... I felt that as the male lead his character was kind of weak. The ending left a little bit to be desired-- there was not really a clear cut conclusion.

7.75 (good) Really interesting premise. Wondering about Ganta's branch of sin/what will happen with Shiro-- As with most manga I follow, hot guy in this one is definitely Senji (aka: Crow)

7.75 (good) SO MANY NAKED BODIES. >.< But the storyline is really interesting for the first 2 story arcs. It kind of reminds me of Psyren in some respects, but with more realistic artwork and plot points. I'll reiterate again... there is a lot of un-censored nudity.

7.50 (good) Another one where I've only seen the Jdrama, but I have read the manga. A very cute/sweet storyline! As far as the jdrama, Oguri Shun as Rui was genius. He captured the kind of cool, detached demeanor perfectly. I also think that MatsuJun was an excellent choice for Tsukasa.
